100+ Central Asian Companies Join Xinjiang Cultural Tourism Fair
The 2025 Xinjiang Cultural Tourism Fair is set to be a major event in promoting cooperation and cultural exchange among Central Asian nations. More than 100 enterprises from the region will participate in the fair, which is scheduled to take place in Urumqi from March 22nd to 24th.
According to the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, the fair will be held at the Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center and is expected to attract around 2,000 participants from China and other international locations. This event highlights the growing opportunities for collaboration in tourism and cultural exchange within the region.
Zhang Xiaoyu, Deputy Head of the Xinjiang Tourism Association, noted that the “Belt and Road Initiative” has led to new prospects for tourism routes linking Xinjiang with Central Asia. The focus of this year’s fair will be on developing cross-border tourism itineraries between Xinjiang and Central Asian countries, as well as enhancing cultural tourism infrastructure.
