200,000 People Flee Sudan Due to Conflict, Says UN

UN Geneva Office reports over 200,000 Sudanese people have been displaced from their homes due to ongoing conflict. The UN said people are crossing the border daily in search of safety. Meanwhile, thousands of people are trapped inside homes, unable to access basic supplies. The UN has emphasized that responding to the crisis is both challenging and costly. The conflict between the army and the HDK, regarding military security reform, has resulted in violent clashes in Khartoum and other cities, which has led to the loss of 604 lives and injured 5,127. The situation has become increasingly concerning, and the UN is calling for international assistance to help address the humanitarian crisis in Sudan.
