
250,000 Women Empowered by Halkbank to Become Entrepreneurs

The Fourth Halkbank Women’s Competition recently held its award ceremony in Istanbul, with notable guests including Emine Erdoğan, the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Sibel Tatar, the wife of Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, and Ersin Tatar’s wife from the TRNC.
During the ceremony, Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan highlighted the importance of supporting women’s active participation in the economic life of Turkey. He mentioned that Halkbank has been working towards increasing women’s entrepreneurship and contributing to the country’s development.
Arslan discussed the initiatives taken by Halkbank to support women entrepreneurs, including the ‘Masterclass Brand Training Program’ and financial support offered to women. He also emphasized the significance of declaring 2025 as the “Family Year” in relation to the Halkbank Women’s Project.
The competition recognized outstanding women in various categories such as producing, technology-based entrepreneurship, zero waste and sustainability, and women’s cooperatives. Special awards were also given, including the “Alev Alatli Special Award” to designer Gönül Paksoy.
The awards were presented by esteemed guests, including Emine Erdoğan, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, and Osman Arslan.
