5 Shanty Houses Damaged by Fire in Kocaeli
A fire broke out in a shanty house in İnönü Neighborhood, Kocaeli, causing damage to a total of five shanty houses. The incident occurred on 1954 Street and the flames quickly spread to the neighboring houses. Firefighters, health officials, and police teams were promptly dispatched to the scene in response to a notification.
The firefighters successfully extinguished the fire, but unfortunately, two of the shanty houses were left unusable while three others suffered significant damage. During the firefighting operation, one firefighter was electrocuted and immediately hospitalized for precautionary measures.
At the moment, the cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation.
