Ambassador Serim Holds Meeting with Mukhtars of Famagusta Region – BRTK
The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Nicosia, Yasin Ekrem Serim, recently met with regional muhtars in Famagusta to discuss ongoing investments in the area. During the meeting, Serim shared information about projects in Famagusta that have been supported by the Republic of Turkey and exchanged ideas with the muhtars.
In addition to meeting with local leaders, Ambassador Serim also visited the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Famagusta. Famagusta Mukhtars Association President Mustafa Yeşilleme expressed gratitude for the ambassador’s visit and conveyed loyalty to the motherland and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Yeşilleme thanked President Erdoğan for his support of muhtars and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). He also wished Ambassador Serim success in his new role. Serim in turn expressed gratitude for the warm welcome he received from the muhtars.
Having spent time in the TRNC earlier in his career, Serim emphasized his familiarity with the region and his commitment to its development. He spoke about meeting with individuals from all walks of life and the importance of collaboration for a bright future.
Ambassador Serim highlighted the significant investments being made in the Famagusta region, including funding for a health center and support for various infrastructure projects, agriculture, and education initiatives. He reassured citizens that the consulate general is dedicated to serving the community around the clock.
