Andijan’s Ambitious Goals for 2025: $1.5 Billion Export Boost and 5.5% Economic Growth

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has recently reviewed the key objectives for the Andijan region by 2025, as reported by the presidential press service. The region is aiming to implement 166 new investment projects totaling $5.7 billion, which are projected to generate 31,000 new jobs. These projects will focus on producing 31 new types of products and creating export opportunities amounting to $1.5 billion. Additionally, the region plans to install an extra 65 megawatts of capacity to ensure a stable energy supply for businesses. By the end of the year, Andijan aims to provide employment for 305,000 residents.

The presentation highlighted the importance of diversifying the economy, developing industries, introducing new technologies, and expanding production capacities. It is anticipated that economic growth in the region will reach 5.5 percent by 2025.

President Mirziyoyev has instructed officials to oversee the timely implementation of these projects, create well-paying job opportunities, and offer vocational training for those who are unemployed. This initiative aims to further strengthen the economy of Andijan and improve the livelihoods of its residents.
