Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train Line Set to Open Tomorrow – Breaking News from Turkey
Turkey’s high-speed train network continues to expand as the Konya-Karaman Line was recently put into service in January 2022. This new line will bring more connectivity and convenience for citizens traveling from Konya to Karaman.
This addition to Turkey’s high-speed train network follows the commissioning of the Ankara-Eskişehir Line in 2009, which introduced the country to this technology. Subsequent lines were then introduced, including the Ankara-Konya lines in 2011, Eskişehir-Konya lines in 2013, and Ankara-Istanbul and Konya-Istanbul lines in 2014.
Furthermore, the Ankara-Sivas High-Speed Train Line will also be put into service. This line will reduce travel time between Ankara and Sivas from 12 hours to just two hours, generating more economic opportunities and promoting tourism in the region. The new line will also allow 1.4 million citizens in Kırıkkale, Yozgat, and Sivas provinces to travel conveniently and rapidly.
