Announcement of Appointments at Istanbul Police Department
Several changes have been made in the Turkish police force with recent appointments, including the promotion of 13 branch and district police chiefs to deputy provincial police chiefs.
Among the newly appointed deputy provincial police chiefs are Beşiktaş District Police Chief Mehmet Baykara, Kağıthane District Police Chief Mesut Aslan, and Fatih District Police Chief Cemal Ünlü. These second-class police chiefs will now take on higher-ranking roles within the police force.
In addition to the promotions, several individuals have been appointed to key branch directorates, including Hakan Öztürk for the Public Order Branch Directorate, Kubilay Akbaş for the Anti-Terrorism Branch Directorate, and İdris Kaya for the Fight Against Organized Crimes Branch Directorate. Other appointments include Hakan Dulkadir for the Financial Crimes Branch Directorate, Mustafa Aktan for the Smuggling Branch Directorate, Halil İbrahim Başlı for the Preventive Services Branch, and Ahmet Lütfü Çırakoğlu as the Sports Security Branch Manager.
Furthermore, changes have been made in 19 branch directorates and 20 district police chiefs. Some of the new appointments to district police departments include Erdem Torlak to Fatih District Police Department, Şinasi Kaptanoğlu to Beşiktaş District Police Department, Serkan Gömce to Şişli District Police Department, and Uğur Kurak to Beykoz District Police Department.
