Another Adoption Watch Reunion Announced by Minister Soylu
Security forces in Turkey have persuaded another member of the PKK/KCK terrorist organization to surrender. The General Directorate of Security and the Gendarmerie General Command coordinated with the Ministry of Interior to carry out the persuasion efforts, which resulted in the 39th member surrendering. The surrendered member had been operating in Syria and Iraq, and had joined the terrorist group in 2013. The Interior Minister, Süleyman Soylu, shared the news on social media and mentioned that another family had been reunited with their child during the adoption watch. The family of the surrendered member had joined the “Mothers of Diyarbakir” in December 2019, a group that demands the release of their children who have been recruited by the PKK/KCK. The ministry hopes that more surrenders will take place in the 100th anniversary of the Republic and that the PKK/KCK will be eradicated from the country. In related news, five terrorists were neutralized in the Peace Spring region.
