Apple Opens Repair Program to Ordinary Users
Apple Extends Self-Repair Program to iPhone 15 and Apple M2B Macs
Apple has announced an expansion of its self-repair programs, now allowing users of all models of the iPhone 15 series and Mac computers with Apple M2B chips to repair their devices. This change marks a significant shift in the company’s approach to device maintenance, as users will now have access to Apple Diagnostics diagnostic software that was previously only available in Apple Stores and authorized service centers.
The availability of Apple Diagnostics will simplify troubleshooting for users, allowing them to check individual components of their devices, including the battery, cameras, various sensors, eSIM, and more. Initially available in the United States, the software will be accessible to owners of Apple devices in Europe next year.
In addition to this software update, Apple has extended self-repair services to users in 24 more European countries, including Croatia, Denmark, Greece, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Switzerland. This expansion brings the total number of countries covered by the Self Service Repair program to 33, and it now encompasses 35 Apple products in 24 languages.
This move by Apple reflects the company’s commitment to providing users with greater control over the maintenance and repair of their devices, expanding access to self-repair resources and empowering customers to take a more active role in the upkeep of their Apple products.
As the self-repair program continues to expand, Apple is setting a new standard for user-friendly device maintenance and support, ensuring that customers around the world have the tools and resources they need to keep their devices running smoothly.
