Arda Güler’s Transfer to Real Madrid Confirmed by Fenerbahçe
In an official statement released by Fenerbahçe, it has been confirmed that negotiations are underway for the transfer of their football player, Arda Güler, to Real Madrid CF in Spain.
The Public Disclosure Platform (PDP) statement reads, “Negotiations have started on the transfer of Arda Güler, one of our A Team players, to Real Madrid CF, Spain.”
The second PDP statement provides further details, stating, “The parties have agreed on the transfer of our professional football player Arda Güler to the Spanish Club Real Madrid CF in return for the termination of the player’s contract with us for 20,000,000 Euros. The solidarity contribution fees that will arise as per the FIFA instructions will be paid by Real Madrid CF.”
In addition to the transfer fee, Real Madrid CF will pay a maximum bonus of 10,000,000 Euros to Fenerbahçe based on the player’s performance. Furthermore, in the event of Arda Güler’s transfer to another club in the future, 20% of the transfer fee obtained by Real Madrid CF will be paid to Fenerbahçe as a share of the next sale.
This news has also been officially announced by Real Madrid. In their statement titled ‘Welcome Arda,’ the Spanish club confirmed the agreement reached between the two teams for Arda Güler’s transfer and the signing of a 6-year contract with the player. A signing ceremony for Arda Güler will be held tomorrow at 13:00, following the player’s medical examinations.
Real Madrid also shared a photo of Arda Güler and Luka Modric, describing the transition from rivals to teammates as “High quality.”
This transfer makes Arda Güler the fourth Turkish player to join Real Madrid, following in the footsteps of Mesut Özil, Hamit Altıntop, and Nuri Şahin.
