Strengthening Audit Collaboration: Azerbaijan and Georgia Hold Productive Meeting
A significant working meeting took place in Tbilisi, bringing together representatives from the supreme audit institutions of Azerbaijan and Georgia. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation and exchanging valuable experiences in public auditing.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Vugar Gulmammadov, Chairman of the Accounts Chamber. His leadership marked a pivotal moment for both nations as they seek to improve their auditing processes and standards.
During the meeting, the Georgian representatives outlined their strategic plan for 2023-2027. They provided insights into their practices concerning the auditing of consolidated financial statements for the government, highlighting their efficiency in audits and the quality management systems they employ.
In response, the Azerbaijani team shared its own strategic plan for 2021-2025, detailing methodologies used for tax revenue audits, the innovative ClimateScanner initiative, and the importance of international cooperation.
Both sides emphasized the critical need for strengthening institutional capacities in auditing and expressed a mutual desire to expand their collaborative efforts in this essential field.
