
Azerbaijan Army Chief Visits Slovak Defense Industry and Training Center

Azerbaijani Delegation Visits Defense Industry Companies and Military Training Center in Slovakia
During an official visit to the Slovak Republic, a delegation led by the First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, visited Slovak defense industry companies and a military training center. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for military-technical cooperation between the two countries.
The Azerbaijani delegation received a briefing on the activities of the military companies in Slovakia, as well as the weapons and military products manufactured there. The discussions focused on the potential for further development of military-technical cooperation and exchange of views on mutual interests.
In addition to visiting the defense industry companies, the Azerbaijani delegation also toured the Military Technical and Testing Institute Záhorie and the Slovak Defense Ministry’s Training Centre Lešť. They were provided with detailed information about the institute’s activities and were able to see demonstrations of military equipment in the armament.
At the Training Centre Lešť, the delegation received information on the center’s activities, discussed security issues, and were briefed on the development of the Slovak Armed Forces. The visit was an opportunity for both countries to strengthen their cooperation in the field of defense and security.
Overall, the visit was successful in enhancing bilateral ties and fostering future collaborations between Azerbaijan and Slovakia in the defense industry and military training sectors.
