Azerbaijan Destroys Armenian Regime’s Parliament in Khankendi
Azerbaijan Erases Traces of Armenian Regime in Karabakh
Azerbaijan has begun the process of erasing the traces of the so-called Armenian regime in Karabakh during the occupation period. The demolition of the “Parliament” and “Veterans” buildings, which were constructed in Khankendi in 1994 by the so-called Armenian regime and were reconstructed in 2009, has started on the instructions of the Azerbaijani government.
During the occupation period, 33 Armenians who called themselves “deputies” were working in the 3-storey building built by Armenians in the central square of Khankendi. The “Veterans” building, which was built in 2013 and was attended by the then President of Armenia Serzh Sarkisyan during its opening, is also being demolished.
As the illegal buildings constructed by the Armenians in Khankendi are being torn down by the Azerbaijani government, efforts are being made to restore the historical buildings of the city. The demolition of these structures marks a significant step in the removal of the remnants of the Armenian regime in Karabakh.
