Azerbaijan’s Apple Exports Surge 17%

Azerbaijan Sees Boost in Apple Exports in Early 2023
In the first quarter of 2023, Azerbaijan has reported a significant increase in apple exports, amounting to $19.3 million. This figure represents a rise of $2.8 million, or 17%, compared to the same period in the previous year when exports totaled $16.5 million. This positive trend underscores the growing demand for Azerbaijani apples on the international market.
According to the latest Export Review from the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, the robust growth in the non-oil sector has also been notable. During the January to March period of this year, the total export from this sector increased by 14.7%, reaching $771.9 million. This reflects Azerbaijan’s ongoing efforts to diversify its economy and enhance its presence in global markets.
The growth in apple exports not only highlights the potential of the agricultural sector but also contributes significantly to the overall economic landscape of Azerbaijan. As the country continues to develop its export capabilities, it remains focused on further enhancing the quality and reach of its agricultural products, which could pave the way for sustained economic growth in the coming quarters.
