Ban on Vehicles in Ala-Archa National Park

Bishkek – 24.kg news agency reported that motor vehicles will soon be prohibited from entering Ala-Archa National Park. This decision was announced by Deputy Chief of Staff of the President Talantbek Dzhunushev during a meeting of the Committee on Budget, Economic, and Fiscal Policy of the Parliament.

Dzhunushev stated that a large parking lot is currently under construction near the park entrance, with a capacity ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 vehicles. In order to transport visitors within the park, 14-seater electric shuttles will be used. The Presidential Administration’s office plans to purchase approximately 80 units of these shuttles.

The exact amount allocated for the procurement of the electric vehicles has not been disclosed. This move aims to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable tourism practices within the national park. Stay tuned for more updates on this development.
