An event called “Turkish Cypriot Women Entrepreneurs Reunion” was organized in cooperation with the Turkish Cypriot Women Entrepreneurs Association GİKAD and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Employees and Spouses Association DİMED.

At the event held at Acapulco Resort Hotel, 21 women entrepreneurs from Türkiye, England and Australia and women entrepreneurs from TRNC came together.

GİKAD President İçim Çağıner Kavuklu, in his speech at the opening of the event, pointed out that Turkish Cypriot women make great efforts to produce and achieve economic freedom wherever they go in the world.

Emphasizing that Turkish Cypriot women entrepreneurs living abroad are representatives of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Turkish Cypriot women, Kavuklu noted that their aim is to strengthen the cooperation ties of Turkish Cypriot women entrepreneurs living abroad with entrepreneurial women living both in the TRNC and in other countries in economic, social and cultural fields.

Oya Ertuğruloğlu, wife of Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, gave information about DİMED’s work and said that they aimed to bring together Turkish Cypriot entrepreneur women living in different geographies of the world with the event they held in cooperation with GİKAD.

Emphasizing that Turkish Cypriot women have a productive and entrepreneurial spirit, Oya Ertuğruloğlu said that the entrepreneurial women attending the meeting both from home and abroad will achieve significant success together.

Later at the event, projects that would increase cooperation between entrepreneurial women living abroad and in TRNC were discussed.
