President of the Assembly of the Republic, Ziya Öztürkler, stated that his primary duty would be to implement the activities of the Assembly, which wasted time due to the debates regarding the Assembly Speaker election process.

Öztürkler, who made a written statement after being elected as the Speaker of the Assembly, noted that the 2025 budget meetings will start tomorrow.

Öztürkler, who reminded that he submitted his resignation in order to avoid a deadlock just before the budget negotiations this morning after the events that have been going on in the Parliament for about the last month, said that today he was re-nominated and elected as the speaker of the Parliament with the discretion of the Party Chairman and the MPs.

Öztürkler said, “From now on, my primary duty will be to implement our Parliamentary work, which has lost a great deal of time due to the discussions surrounding the Parliamentary Speakership election process. And as the beginning of this, tomorrow, if we are lucky, we will start the committee meeting of our 2025 budget. “Congratulations to our budget in advance.” he said.
