The ordinary general assembly of the Turkish Cypriot Construction Subcontractors Association was held. Uncle Osman was again appointed to the presidency, where only one person was a candidate.

According to the information provided by the union, Minister of Labor and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu and KTİMB President Cafer Gürcafer also attended the opening of the meeting held at the Cyprus Turkish Construction Contractors Association (KTİMB).

Members of the Board of Directors, Honorary Board and Auditing Board were also determined at the meeting.

He stated that the duty of the board of directors here is to create some systems while solving the daily problems of the members and to foresee the problems that will arise in the future and solve them in advance.

Uncle touched upon the importance of members having a subcontractor’s certificate and said that a subcontractor’s certificate is a must for matters such as bringing workers from abroad, horizontal transfer, and preliminary permit.

Referring to the law on building inspection, Amca said, “This system that you all want and expect will inspect us. This means that when you start construction, the name of the subcontractor is written there. We attended many meetings as a union and achieved this. “When subcontractor construction is done, his name will be written there,” he said.
