BOMCA Provides State Border Service of Turkmenistan with Data Processing and Inspection Equipment

The Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10), funded by the European Union, has made a significant contribution to the State Border Service of Turkmenistan by formally transferring data processing and inspection equipment. This equipment includes personal computers, monitors, servers, printers, and a laptop, which will support the operations of the Border Control Department at the service’s central office.

With this new equipment, the State Border Service of Turkmenistan will be able to enhance its capacity for collecting and analyzing data on the flow of passengers, vehicles, and goods. By reviewing the history and profiles of individuals and objects, the service will increase its effectiveness in risk assessment and operational decision-making.

In addition to the data processing equipment, the State Border Guard Service of Turkmenistan has also received two sets of inspection tools. These tools, which include video endoscopes, telescopic mirrors, and air blowers, will be used for training border service personnel. The training sessions will focus on the inspection of vehicles, trucks, and containers, and will be conducted in accordance with the department’s annual training plans.

Overall, this equipment transfer from BOMCA 10 will greatly benefit the State Border Service of Turkmenistan in its efforts to strengthen border security and improve operational efficiency.
