New Kyrgyz-Russian schools to be constructed in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek – 17:31, 15 April 2025

The sites for the construction of nine Kyrgyz-Russian schools have been chosen and registered, as reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.

During a meeting of the republican headquarters led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev, the progress of the agreement, under which Russia will build schools in Kyrgyzstan, was discussed in detail.

Funds have already been allocated from the republican budget for 2025 for the construction of external utility networks and the preparation of land plots.

Daniyar Amangeldiev emphasized that the implementation of the project is under the control of the President and the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, and all work must be completed on time.

In October 2024, the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan approved in three readings a bill on the ratification of an agreement with Russia on the provision of a grant for the construction of nine Russian-language schools. These schools will be built according to a standard design for 1,224 children, with the project being implemented by the Eurasian Development Bank.

The construction of these schools signifies a positive step towards strengthening educational infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan and fostering closer ties between Kyrgyzstan and Russia. The project aims to provide quality education to children in the region and contribute to the overall development of the country’s education system.
