Cesurer: There is a serious study about the upcoming process so that citizens do not experience more victimization.

Caglayan Cesurer, President of the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority Employees Union El-Sen, made a statement to BRT about the latest situation in electricity.

Cesurer reminded that the process regarding the Public Procurement Law continues and there are attempts to prevent the law from being passed.

Stating that they held a meeting with the Minister of Economy and Energy, Olgun Amcaoğlu, Cesurer stated that the problems that may be experienced in the country were discussed at the meeting and that the meeting took a long time to avoid further problems.

Noting that (SES) El-Sen Board of Directors is in a meeting to ensure that the process reaches the right ground with a common mind, Cesurer said, “There is work on the draft to eliminate our concerns. We have demands. These were also discussed with the minister. If the other party is sincere, we think that a common mind can be met. We are at the beginning stage. The problem can be solved through dialogue,” he said.

Cesurer said, “There is a serious study regarding the upcoming process so that citizens do not experience further grievances,” and that the problem can be eliminated if the demands of the two sides can meet at a common point.

Noting that if a common goal can be achieved, Cesurer said that in such a case, the El-Sen Board of Directors will evaluate the issue in detail and that the final decision will be made by the Board of Directors and the members.

Cesurer stated that if a common goal is reached, the public will be informed about the decision to be taken.
