Challenges for Uzbek Citizens Entering Russia
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow is raising concerns over the difficulties that Uzbek citizens face when entering Russian territory. The embassy has reported an increase in calls from Uzbek citizens experiencing problems when trying to enter Russia or transit through the Sheremetyevo international airport in Moscow.
According to a statement released by the embassy, citizens of Uzbekistan are facing additional and excessively lengthy checks by airport services in Russia. In response to these issues, the embassy has sent an appeal to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address the situation. Additionally, the consular department of the embassy is working closely with the border control service at Sheremetyevo Airport to understand and resolve the challenges faced by Uzbek citizens.
