Collection of Magtymguly Fraga’s Poems Presented in Georgian at Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs
A presentation of a collection of poems by Magtymguly Fraga in Georgian recently took place at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event, held on September 30, 2024, was attended by various dignitaries and members of the literary community.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the diplomatic corps, international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, literary scholars, scientists, journalists, faculty and students of the institute, as well as media representatives were present at the ceremony. The speakers highlighted the significance of Magtymguly Fraga’s creative legacy as a national treasure and a valuable contribution to world culture.
Ambassador Konstantin Sabiashvili of Georgia to Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of the new publication in strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between Turkmenistan and Georgia. Through video conferencing, speeches from Georgian writers, scientists, and public figures were also heard, highlighting the translation of Magtymguly’s poems into Georgian as a testament to the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Participants at the event praised Magtymguly Fraga’s poems for embodying enduring human values such as love for the Motherland, humanism, peace, creativity, friendship, and brotherhood.
