Girne Municipality Signs Contract for Multi-Storey Car Park Project
After the completion of the tender process for the ‘Multi-Storey Car Park’ project, which was opened by Girne Municipality in June, the contract has been signed with the winning bidder.
The signing ceremony for the contract took place at the Girne Municipality Council Meeting Hall.
The multi-storey car park project, with a capacity of 230 vehicles and aimed to be completed within 1 year, is expected to provide a solution to the parking problems in the area where hotels and an under construction shopping center are located.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Girne Mayor Murat Şenkul pointed out that the multi-storey car park will be the first of its kind in Girne and emphasized the serious need for public-private partnerships in the country.
Şenkul mentioned that they aim to implement multi-storey car parks at 4 different locations in Girne, with this project being the first, and added that the second project will be implemented in the Kervansaray Region.
Uğur Pirinççioğlu, CEO of Pasha Group, stated that a multi-storey car park is a significant necessity in a city like Girne, which is alive 24 hours a day.
Pirinççioğlu mentioned that their goal is to complete the project in a short time and put it into service.
After the speeches, Girne Mayor Şenkul and Pirinççioğlu signed the contract.
The implementation of the multi-storey car park project is expected to significantly contribute to addressing the parking issues in Girne and provide a convenient solution for both residents and visitors.
