
Crime Kingpin’s Relative Seizes Market from Businessman

A relative of the crime kingpin Erkin Mambetaliev involved in illegal takeover of Bereke market

A relative of the crime kingpin Erkin Mambetaliev has been implicated in the illegal takeover of the Bereke market from a businessman, as reported by the press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS).
It was revealed that the individual, previously detained, conspired with another citizen connected to one of the leaders of the organized crime group, Erkin Mambetaliev. Through threats and coercion, they managed to acquire title documents and forcibly took control of the Bereke market situated within the Dordoi shopping center from the rightful businessman.
The perpetrators threatened the businessman with physical violence if he attempted to reclaim the market or sought help from law enforcement agencies.
Furthermore, it was discovered that a portion of the profits generated from the market was utilized to fund the organized crime group and facilitate criminal operations. Consequently, the individual was apprehended and is currently detained in the pretrial detention center of the SCNS.
In a related development, Erkin Mambetaliev, the crime kingpin, was found to possess assets worth $4 million. He was arrested in connection with a criminal case under Article 261 Part 2 “Participation in an organized group” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The authorities are working diligently to address crimes associated with organized crime groups and ensuring justice for those affected by such illegal activities.
