Provincial Police Crackdown on Midnight Drifting in Mimarsinan District
The Provincial Police Department Traffic Inspection Branch has recently launched an operation targeting illegal drifting activities in the Mimarsinan District. The crackdown comes in response to a social media post depicting a “midnight drift” in the area.
Police teams successfully identified the drifting vehicle and its driver in the city center. As a result, the driver was handed a hefty fine of 46,392 Turkish lira for violating multiple articles of the Traffic Law. In addition to the financial penalty, the driver’s license was confiscated for a period of two months as a penalty for the reckless behavior.
Furthermore, legal actions have been taken against the driver for “endangering traffic safety”, highlighting the seriousness with which authorities are addressing such offenses.
The proactive approach taken by the Provincial Police Department serves as a clear message that illegal drifting and other forms of reckless driving will not be tolerated. By enforcing the law and holding offenders accountable, the authorities are working to ensure the safety and well-being of all road users in the region.
