Driver in Fergana hospitalized in intensive care after police stun gun incident
A 33-year-old driver was admitted to the intensive care unit after an altercation with law enforcement officers in the Rishton district of Fergana region on July 4th. The conflict arose when the driver was driving in a non-passable section of the road, leading to a confrontation with the officers. During the altercation, the officers used a stun gun on the driver and took him to the station. However, he lost consciousness and was taken to the hospital’s intensive care unit.
The driver, identified as Ravshan Madaliev, a resident of Zohidon village, was attempting to access the main road in the district center when the conflict occurred. Witness reports indicate that the officers used excessive force, including a stun gun and physical violence, which resulted in the driver losing consciousness.

The Fergana region Department of Internal Affairs has confirmed that an investigation into the incident is currently underway. As of the first half of July 5th, the driver has not regained consciousness, raising concerns about the use of excessive force by law enforcement officers.
