El-Sen warns of strike if meeting with KIB-TEK fails – BRTK
Ahmet Tuğcu, Chairman of the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority Employees Union (El-Sen), has spoken out about the ongoing issues with KIB-TEK in a recent statement following a Board of Directors meeting.
Tuğcu highlighted the promises made by Prime Minister Ünal Üstel to fulfill the union’s demands, which have not been met since discussions began in August. He expressed disappointment with the lack of progress and mentioned that the El-Sen Board of Directors has authorized him and General Secretary Hüseyin Peksever to take necessary actions, including the possibility of an indefinite strike, based on the outcome of an upcoming meeting with KIB-TEK management on Tuesday.
In his statement, Tuğcu also reiterated the requests that had been previously communicated to the management of the institution.
