Expansion of Departing Passenger Waiting Area at Tashkent Airport
The sterile area of the departure hall for passengers at Tashkent International Airport has received a significant upgrade, with an increase of 2,000 square meters. This expansion was made possible by Uzbekistan Airports, who have added a new area to the left of the Art Bazaar, complete with a waiting zone and a future food court.
Thanks to auctions on E-auksion.uz, contracts have been signed with two companies – The Border by Teriyaki and four establishments including Hardee’s, Pizza Hut, La Croissanterie, and Pinkberry. Construction of these new restaurants will begin soon, with banners currently covering the areas. The zone already features a coffee corner, Caffelito.
In addition to the new dining options, the expansion has allowed for the connection of the general departure hall with the B5-B6-B7 terminal. Future plans include the creation of a separate gallery and exit to the lower gates, which will help segregate the flow of arriving and departing passengers for improved efficiency and convenience. Travelers passing through Tashkent International Airport can look forward to a more spacious and modern departure area with a variety of dining options to choose from.
