Exploring New Destinations: BRTK’s Mission
The Deputy Prime Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment, along with the Ministry officials, recently attended the BIT Milan Tourism Fair in Italy. The fair, which took place from February 11 to February 11, aimed to promote and market the tourism offerings of Northern Cyprus.
During the fair, representatives from Northern Cyprus highlighted the historical and cultural richness of the region, with the goal of strengthening relationships between local agencies and Italian tour operators. Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Ataoğlu expressed satisfaction with the interest in the Northern Cyprus booth at the fair, emphasizing the country’s efforts to develop new tourism destinations and attract more visitors.
Ataoğlu also announced plans to provide incentives for charter flights to Northern Cyprus, with the aim of further boosting tourism in the region. He credited successful promotions, including digital marketing efforts, and support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey and the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) for the positive results achieved at the fair.
Overall, the participation of Northern Cyprus in the BIT Milan Tourism Fair was deemed a success, paving the way for increased collaboration with Italian tourism partners and continued growth in the country’s tourism sector.
