Fake Gold Bust: 20 People Arrested in Operation
Authorities have successfully captured 20 suspects involved in a fake gold operation that spanned across two provinces centered in Kahramanmaraş. The Kahramanmaraş Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office revealed that fake gold was being produced in the Türkoğlu district and then distributed in various provinces such as Antalya, Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, and Mardin.
The Kahramanmaraş Provincial Gendarmerie Command Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate, in collaboration with the Türkoğlu Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, carried out a targeted operation at 17 different locations in Kahramanmaraş and Eskişehir. Their objective was to gather substantial evidence against the criminals and ultimately apprehend the suspects behind this illegal operation.
It has been mentioned that the detained suspects are currently undergoing legal proceedings at the prosecutor’s office as authorities work to ensure justice is served. The successful operation highlights the dedication and efficiency of law enforcement agencies in combating organized crime activities within the region.
