Spring Festival Celebrated at Famagusta Special Education and Job Training School
The annual Spring Festival was recently held at the Famagusta Special Education and Job Training School, a facility that has been providing education to individuals with special needs in Famagusta since 2006. The event was attended by Sibel Tatar, the wife of President Ersin Tatar, and Zerrin Üstel, the wife of Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.
During the festival, children enjoyed playing various games accompanied by live music and took part in small competitions that brought excitement to the event. Additionally, the children showcased their skills in sewing, kitchen activities, woodworking, ceramics, and printing workshops. Both Sibel Tatar and Zerrin Üstel actively participated in the children’s activities, creating handicrafts alongside them.
In her remarks, Zerrin Üstel emphasized the importance of supporting initiatives that aim to improve the quality of educational services for children with special needs. She highlighted the significance of enhancing equality of opportunity in education, promoting social development, and facilitating the integration of special children into social life.
Zerrin Üstel praised the workshops that allow children receiving special education to explore their interests and develop their potential, enabling them to contribute to society and lead fulfilling lives in the future. She expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful organization of the Spring Festival at Famagusta Special Education and Job Training School.
