A Conference on Palestine in Lyon Attacked by Far-Right Group
According to the news of Le Progres newspaper, the Palestine 69 Community held a conference on Palestine in Lyon. The conference area, which was attended by approximately 100 people, was raided by a group of 40 to 60 people, wearing masks and carrying sticks and fireworks. Participants, who wanted to prevent the group trying to enter the conference area, barricaded themselves with chairs and tables in front of the door of the hall.
The far-right group threw fireworks at the entrance of the conference area. The attackers escaped before police teams arrived at the scene. In the incident where 3 people were slightly injured, 1 far-right extremist was detained. The incident is a concerning example of political violence and intolerance.
