Fired for Speaking Out: Fourth Case in Newborn Gang Investigation
The trial of the Newborn Gang case continues as new developments unfold. The Bakırköy 22 High Criminal Court held a hearing in the conference hall of the courthouse, which began at 11:00 hours with the attendance of 30 detained defendants, including Doctor Fırat Sarı. Some of the defendants, complainants, and lawyers also attended the hearing.
One of the key moments in the hearing was when Nurse Nigar Kubilay, one of the detained defendants, made a defense statement. She mentioned her previous work experience with Fırat Sarı as the chief nurse, highlighting the disagreements they had and the complaints filed against her by Sarı. Kubilay also mentioned how she was advised by management to avoid being in the same environment as Fırat Bey due to their differences.
During the course of the trial, questions were raised about the responsibilities of nurses, the writing of epicrises for patients, and messages exchanged between Fırat Sarı and Nigar Kubilay.
