Tragedy Strikes as 5-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Big Chui Canal
On May 8th, news was received that a five-year-old boy had drowned in the Big Chui Canal in Voenno-Antonovka village. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported the incident and at least 16 rescuers, police officers, and relatives joined the search for the missing boy.
After a day of searching, the body of the young boy was found on May 9th and handed over to his grieving relatives. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of water safety and the need for increased supervision of children around bodies of water.
