Former National Security Leaders Meet with Kamchybek Tashiev
Bishkek, September 17, 2024 – The Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS), Kamchybek Tashiev, recently met with veterans of the agency to discuss important issues related to security and stability in the country. The meeting was attended by former chairmen of the National Security Ministry, the National Security Service, and SCNS, as well as ex-deputies with the rank of Generals.
During the meeting, Tashiev presented the veterans with new identity cards to recognize their service to Kyrgyzstan’s security agencies. Some of the recipients included prominent figures such as T.S. Aitbaev, F.S. Kulov, and B.Ch. Dzhanuzakov.
Tashiev briefed the ex-heads on the current efforts being made by the security bodies to maintain stability and security in the country. He also highlighted the importance of supporting labor and security veterans in meeting their needs.
Discussions during the meeting focused on national, regional, and global security issues, as well as the tasks ahead for national security services. The participants also emphasized the significance of reforms initiated under President Sadyr Japarov’s leadership in overcoming challenges and the vital role of veterans in this process.
The veterans commended the positive changes that have taken place in the country over the past four years, including improvements in social and economic well-being, as well as measures to enhance national security and law enforcement. They particularly praised the current SCNS leadership for its efforts in combating organized crime and corruption.
In a show of support, the veterans congratulated Kamchybek Tashiev on being awarded the highest military rank of Colonel General and expressed their willingness to assist the SCNS leadership in ensuring security and stability in the country.
