The Minister of Justice, Yılmaz Tunç, provided an update on the investigation into the tragic murder of Narin Güran. He stated that the investigation is ongoing and meticulous, with detainees and suspects under judicial control. Nearly 250 people have provided statements, and camera images have been detected. Evaluations by TÜBİTAK have been made, along with audio and video examinations of security camera footage.
Minister Tunç also mentioned that through a narrowed down base study, important data has been obtained which has led to the identification of the murderers of Narin Güran. The process of preparing the indictment has commenced, and once revealed, the society will know who the perpetrator is. The judicial process is expected to proceed without delay once the indictment is filed.
CNN TÜRK Ankara Representative Dicle Canova reported on the latest developments in a live broadcast, confirming that the indictment has been prepared and will be presented to the court in the coming days. The prosecutor is expected to demand the highest punishment for all individuals involved in the case.
Four names have been highlighted as central to the murder, including Uncle Salim Güran, Brother Enes Güran, Mother Yuksel Güran, and Nevzat Bahtiyar, who disposed of Narin’s body. Base station and HTS records played a crucial role in solving the case, confirming that Narin was killed in her home while her uncle, brother, mother, and Nevzat Bahtiyar were present.
The findings from forensic medicine have indicated that Narin was strangled to death, with traces of her DNA found on the uncle’s hand and his vehicle’s steering wheel. The indictment will assert that Uncle Salim Güran and Brother Enes Güran acted in cooperation to commit the murder, leading to aggravated life imprisonment being requested for all four individuals present at the time.
The tragic story of Narin Güran, who was reported missing by her family on August 21, has raised significant concerns about the motive behind her murder. Speculations suggest that Narin may have witnessed something she was not supposed to, leading to her tragic end.
As the case unfolds in court, it is anticipated that the exact details of the incident will be revealed, and justice will be served for Narin Güran. The focus remains on holding all parties involved accountable for their roles in this heinous crime in the village. The demand for aggravated life imprisonment for the four individuals present at the time of the murder underscores the seriousness of this case.
