“Free Week-Long Adventure in Budapest: Exploring Chain Bridge and Normafa with Stunning Photos”
Budapest is testing its new electric bus, the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro, on the 210 route, and passengers can travel for free until May 18th. The bus runs between Normafa in the 12th district and the Gyöngyösi Street Metro Station in the 13th district, crossing the iconic Chain Bridge over the Danube. The electric vehicle is designed for public transport services in large metropolitan areas with a peak performance of 250 kW and a 590 kWh battery capacity, with a range of 250 km on a single charge. Budapest, which places great emphasis on modern, environmentally-friendly vehicles, has opted for buying zero-emission trams, trolleys, and buses, but has to rely on the financial support of the European Union and the Hungarian government for such purchases. The testing period of the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro is financed by Hungary’s energy ministry.
