
Galatasaray Reveals Bakambu Transfer Cost in Last-Minute Sports Update

SECOND COMING TO TURKEY
Congolese striker Bakambu is set to embark on his second stint in Turkish football. The 32-year-old, who began his career at France’s Sochaux, had previously played for Bursaspor during the 2014-2015 season. During his time at Bursaspor, Bakambu scored an impressive 21 goals in 39 official matches, earning him the title of top scorer in the Turkish Cup with 8 goals.
Following his successful spell at Bursaspor, Bakambu made a move to La Liga side Villarreal for a transfer fee of 7.5 million euros. There, he made 105 appearances over 3.5 seasons and scored 47 goals. His performances caught the attention of Chinese club BJ Guoan, who secured his services for a whopping 40 million euros. Bakambu continued his prolific form in China, netting 58 goals and providing 21 assists in 87 matches.
After his time in China, Bakambu embarked on a journey that saw him represent Marseille and Olympiakos. Last season, he emerged as the top scorer in the Greek league with 18 goals to his name. Bakambu’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed on the international stage either. Having represented the French National Team at various youth levels, he later opted to play for the Democratic Republic of Congo National Team and has since scored 15 goals in 42 appearances.
In preparation for his return to Turkish football, Bakambu recently underwent a thorough medical examination at the Medicana Health Group, the club’s sponsor hospital. The striker, standing at 1.82 meters, is now ready to don the jersey of his new Turkish club and continue his goal-scoring exploits in the Turkish Super Lig once again.
