Gendarmerie Raises Flag at 2,543 Meters atop Uludağ
Bursa Provincial Gendarmerie Command Search and Rescue Team Commands (JAK) recently undertook a challenging mission as part of the 100th Anniversary celebrations of the Republic. They successfully completed the “Big Summit Climb” activity, reaching the top of Uludağ, which stands at an impressive altitude of 2,543 meters.
The JAK teams meticulously planned their route, which involved traversing various zones such as the Uludağ 1st hotels zone, jeep road, mine and gate areas, small summit, observatory plain, jasmine pass, baykan ridges, karakayalar, and the big summit route. It took them a total of 8 hours to conquer the challenging terrain and eventually reach the summit.
Upon reaching the top, the Gendarmerie personnel proudly raised the Turkish flag and captured memorable photos with it. This act symbolized their unwavering patriotism and commitment to their country.
