German Company Boosts Economy in Debrecen with Creation of 100 New Jobs

German-owned company Harro Hofliger Hungary has announced plans to invest HUF 6 billion in building a new production hall in Debrecen, Hungary. This investment is expected to create 100 new jobs in the region. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó confirmed the government’s support for the project, providing HUF 1.5 billion towards its development.

Harro Hofliger has a strong partnership with the University of Debrecen and local vocational schools, showcasing its commitment to the local community and education sector. German companies, like Harro Hofliger, play a significant role in Hungary’s economy, accounting for one-fifth of inward foreign direct investment and one-fourth of the country’s trade.
