Helicopter Production Takes Flight in Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek-based company Shumkar has recently announced the launch of production for two-seater helicopters in Kyrgyzstan. This exciting development was shared with the public by Daiyrbek Orunbekov, the head of the press service of the presidential administration, through a video posted on Facebook.
Orunbekov revealed that these locally-produced helicopters are currently being showcased in a competition at an exhibition. The two-seater helicopters, equipped with a 70-liter fuel capacity, are capable of covering a distance of 600 kilometers in just three hours. With prices starting at $60,000, these helicopters offer an affordable option for enthusiasts and professionals alike.
The video showcased the process of assembling the helicopters, highlighting that the components are sourced from Poland and then assembled in Kyrgyzstan to create a fully functional two-seater aircraft. Notably, these helicopters have the capability to take off from small sites, making them versatile and suitable for various terrains.
Interest in these Kyrgyz-made helicopters has already been expressed by visitors from the United Arab Emirates, indicating the potential for future partnerships and collaborations.
