Historical Bathhouse in Kastamonu Engulfed in Flames – Breaking News
A fire broke out in the Historical Municipality Çifte Hammam, located next to the Historical Mer’aşi Abdurrahman Pasha Mosque, for reasons yet to be determined. The incident occurred in Tosya, Turkey, causing concern among locals and authorities.
Upon receiving notification, Tosya Municipality fire crews rushed to the scene and successfully managed to intervene in the fire. After putting in approximately 2 hours of hard work, the fire was finally brought under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings.
Unfortunately, the historical bath, believed to have been constructed in the 16th century, suffered severe damage and became unusable as a result of the fire. The loss of such a significant historical site has left the community saddened.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire to determine what led to this unfortunate event. In the meantime, efforts are being made to assess the extent of the damage and plan for the restoration of the Çifte Hammam. It is hoped that this valuable piece of history can be preserved and restored for future generations to appreciate and enjoy.
