House of Music Celebrates World Music Day with Free Events
The House of Music Hungary is gearing up to celebrate World Music Day on October 1 with a series of exciting events. According to Turizmus.com, the celebration will include free concerts and a film screening for music lovers to enjoy.
Starting at 1 p.m., visitors can immerse themselves in a classical music concert followed by a pop-up jazz concert in the afternoon. The highlight of the day will be a concert film screening to round off the festivities.
In addition to the October 1 events, the House of Music Hungary will also host a family program on October 5 dedicated to the celebration of music. The institution promises a fun-filled day for families and music enthusiasts alike.
One of the featured performances will be the “Lunchtime” series showcasing the Era Nova String Quartet, a group of talented Liszt Academy students. They will treat the audience to a mix of classical pieces by Edvard Grieg and Béla Bartók.
The Zádor Trio will take the stage in the lobby at 2:30 p.m., offering a repertoire that includes original compositions and jazz standards. From bebop classics to swing hits and rare Oscar Peterson pieces, their performance promises to be a true musical delight.
A special highlight of the day will be the screening of the concert film “There Is War,” featuring music by János Másik and words by Géza Bereményi. The film pays tribute to the legendary Hungarian musician Tamás Cseh and promises to be a moving and memorable experience for all attendees.
