Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjártó: Global Corporations Maintain Trust in Hungary
Continuous investment records prove that international players in the corporate world continue to trust Hungary, as announced by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó on Thursday in Budapest. A Dutch-owned company, Aalberts Surface Technologies, has committed a HUF 9bn investment in the country.
The metal surface treatment company is expanding its capacity at its base in Tatabánya, located in Northwest Hungary, and will be increasing its headcount to nearly 200 employees. This expansion is supported by a HUF 1.1bn grant from the Hungarian government.
Minister Szijjártó emphasized the importance of such investments, especially with the automotive and battery production capacities in Hungary growing continuously. Local suppliers are essential to ensure that the supply chains remain as short as possible to meet the demand.
Dutch companies represent the twelfth largest investment community in Hungary, with bilateral trade reaching close to EUR 12bn last year. The cooperation between the two countries is characterized by mutual respect, with a few exceptions, and efforts are continually made to seek out new opportunities for collaboration.
The video shared by Minister Szijjártó on Facebook showcases the importance of these investments in Hungary’s economic growth and development. The country’s attractiveness to foreign investors is evident through the continuous trust and support from international corporations.
