Israel under Attack: Airborne Assault by Hizbullah
The Ambush Stopped the Occupation Troops at 01.50! Hezbollah Announced the Death of 20 Israeli Soldiers
Sirens blared at the crack of dawn in Israel, sending residents of Nazareth, Jokneam, and many settlements in the north scrambling to shelters. The Israeli army reported that five rockets were launched from Lebanon on Saturday morning, with some being intercepted in the air.
Areas like Nazareth, Wadi Ara, and Cezrel Valley, where sirens wailed, are situated to the east of Haifa, a vital port city on the Mediterranean coast. The Lebanese border is approximately 50 kilometers away as the crow flies.
In the ongoing conflict along the border, Lebanon’s powerful military force, Hezbollah, claimed to have dealt a significant blow to the Israeli occupation forces. Clashes intensified in the town of Al-Adise, where Hezbollah executed an ambush that resulted in the deaths of six Israeli soldiers. The Israeli troops, advancing under cover of darkness, were forced to retreat after explosives were triggered and gunfire erupted.
Reporting from Hasbaya, near the Lebanon-Israel border, Al Jazeera correspondent Imran Khan highlighted the strategic importance of the Al Adise pass as a crucial entry point for Israeli invaders in Southern Lebanon. Khan emphasized that the town held significance for Hezbollah as well, serving as a key location for the group to stage their ambush.
Hezbollah’s television channel, El Menar, reported that Israeli soldiers attempted to advance towards the Al Adise municipality building but withdrew during a clash at 01.50. In another incident, Israeli troops tried to infiltrate Lebanese territory in Marun al-Ras, where Hezbollah targeted a group of army vehicles and soldiers. A Merkava tank belonging to the Israeli army was struck by a guided missile in the Malikiye region, bursting into flames.
Hezbollah disclosed that at least 20 Israeli soldiers have been killed with many more wounded since Friday morning. The group stated that in addition to direct confrontations, Israeli soldiers were also targeted with rockets. As tensions escalate, the conflict continues to unfold along the tense Lebanon-Israel border.
