Israeli Forces Continue Raids in West Bank and Jerusalem, Detaining 20 Palestinians
In a joint statement released by the Palestinian Prisoners Association and the Prisoners and Released Delegation affiliated with the Palestine Liberation Organization, it was reported that Israeli forces have continued their raids in the West Bank and the city of Jerusalem.
According to the statement, Israeli forces have detained 20 Palestinians, including a journalist named Sami al-Sai, two children, and former detainees, in raids conducted since yesterday in the occupied East Jerusalem as well as in the West Bank cities of Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus, and Jenin.
The number of Palestinians detained by Israel in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, has now reached 7,210.
The statement also highlighted that Israeli forces have resorted to violence against Palestinians, including physical assaults, and have threatened the families of those detained during the raids in the West Bank and Jerusalem. Additionally, it was reported that Israeli forces have caused damage to the homes and vehicles of Palestinians during the raids.
The ongoing raids and detentions by Israeli forces in the West Bank and Jerusalem have raised concerns among Palestinian communities and human rights organizations, urging for an end to the violence and intimidation tactics used by Israeli forces.
