Israeli Soldiers Stop Ambulances Taking Patients from Hospital
In a recent post made by MSF’s account, it has been reported that Israeli soldiers stopped ambulances that were transporting patients discharged from Martyr Halil Suleiman State Hospital to their homes this morning. According to the post, the soldiers forced the healthcare workers and drivers out of the ambulances and made them kneel after removing their clothes.
The post also stated that the patients had to remain in the ambulances while the incident unfolded. It was also mentioned that Israeli forces had been shooting at the hospital since October 7, and had also thrown tear gas at the hospital, while blocking ambulances and humiliating and harassing medical staff.
MSF emphasized that hospitals should be safe spaces, and called for respect towards hospitals, as well as an end to these attacks. The organization stressed the importance of hospitals as safe spaces for patients and healthcare workers, and called for an immediate halt to such incidents.
