Istanbul Photo Awards Jury Unites for Annual Event
The Istanbul Photo Awards 2023, the 9th annual international news photography competition organized by Anadolu Agency (AA) has kicked off, with the jury commencing their work. The best photos of the year will be selected in the online sessions conducted over 3 days, with the jury members participating from 6 different countries. National Geographic photographer and producer Ami Vitale, photojournalist Carol Guzy, member of NOOR agency photojournalist Yuri Kozyrev, Globe and Mail photojournalist Goran Tomasevic, visual narrator Marion Mertens, Visual Media Consultant Michel Scotto, Getty Images Sports Chief Photojournalist Cameron Spencer, photojournalist Ahmet Sel, and AA Visual News Editor-in-Chief Fırat Yurdakul are among the prestigious names of the photography world who are part of the jury panel. During his opening speech, AA Deputy General Manager Oğuz Enis Peru thanked the jury for their contribution to the competition. The qualifying platform prepared by AA for the competition will enable the jury members to follow the sessions remotely.
